After the birth of our daughter in 2015 I have passionately pursued all things birth since. I have been attending births since 2017, have experience in both home and hospital settings and am pursuing additional education and certification through Birth Arts International. I have provided physical and emotional support for families preparing for medicated and unmedicated births, hospital and home vaginal deliveries, vaginal deliveries after caesarean as well as families that have had caesareans. And for all of my families I document birth through photos and/or film.
I believe in you, your ability to carry and birth your baby. My approach to birth is always to support you and your family in whichever way you feel most comfortable with. During pregnancy this is when we spend time deeply understanding what your hopes are for your labor, what you envision the process looking like, providing evidence based resources to support you in your decision making process. I want you to feel confident going into your labor, delivery and beyond. During labor my support may look like a very hands on approach, providing comfort measures, working with your support person to help you navigate contractions with positions and support, it may also be very hands off, providing encouragement, talking through contractions or just creating a safe space where you can be and experience your birth. It can vary moment to moment depending on how things unfold but it is always in line with your birth plan.

Tidbits About Me:
- STARBUCKS – For REAL, it’s a serious problem! I had to get put on a strict (which I totally fail at!!) monthly allowance…. send help!
- PRAIRIES – I am from the Prairies of central Canada and my heart is so happy in the wide open spaces. I live in the forest now and LOVE it, but I sure do miss the sunsets
- MY LOVE – I married a wild Irishman when I was 19 years old and have been married for over a decade, can you believe it!? I can’t!!
- MY LIFE – My girl, she is my love. As an adoptee, I have always wanted to have someone that looks like me and from the minute she was born that’s all I ever hear – and I LOVE it.
